Finding Your Stride: A Supportive Start to Your Running Practice

If you've ever thought - "I'd like to try running" - but quickly followed it with, - "...but I'm not a runner" - this workshop was made for you. Led by ISSA certified running coach, Deanna Schallau, this workshop is designed to build a sense of confidence and excitment as you begin your running journey.

You'll start with a guided reflection using a custom journal created just for this workshop, exploring what being a "runner" means to you and identifying your goals. From there, you'll be guided through creation of a training plan using a simple and adaptable framework to fit your unique lifestyle and aspirations. Along the way, you'll learn about injury prevention and other running tips and tricks.

By the end, you'll walk away with:

  • A personalized, realistic training plan

  • A deeper connection to your "why"

  • The confidence to take your first steps- and keep going

No prior running experience required, just an open mind and the willingness to discover what you're capable of.

Stride + Soul: A Reflective Running Program

Whether you are new to running or have been running for years, work with me to improve your physical fitness and build confidence and self connection as a runner and in life. By the end of the program, you’ll feel stronger, connected to your intuition, and badass!

It takes consistency over time to see progress in physical fitness! I offer both three month and six month coaching programs.

Running

In an introductory call, we will talk through your running goals, current level of fitness, schedule, and any history of injury. I’ll onboard you onto my coaching platform and update your training plan on an ongoing basis. We will meet regularly to check in on how things are going, especially focusing on incorporating aspects of holistic training and injury prevention (running, strength, mobility, nutrition, recovery). You can text, email, or contact me through the coaching platform at any time for questions, motivation, or advice.

Reflection

I’ll send you a virtual journals each week that will provide a space for reflection inspired by a theme of the week, covering both running and personal prompts. This will be your space to check in on aspects of your running training and for personal reflection and connection.
